Under the patronage of Prof. Loay Saad Al-Din-Nasrat<\/strong> -Aswan University President and Prof. Mohamed Gaber Abbas<\/strong> \u2013 Dean of the Faculty\u00a0 The General Administration for Technical Affairs of the Councils at the Supreme Council of Universities announces that, with reference to the letter received by the Secretariat of the Supreme Council from the Acting Head of the Central Administration for the Office of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, regarding the circular issued by the Assistant Secretary-General for Security Affairs at the Cabinet, the following has been reported:<\/span>
\nRecently, a number of messages have circulated on social media platforms falsely attributed to the Cabinet. These messages have been sent to several employees in certain ministries and government entities, claiming to invite them to participate in an online meeting with the Prime Minister and requesting them to register their personal data through electronic links. It has been confirmed that these messages are fraudulent and have no connection whatsoever to the Cabinet.<\/span><\/p>\n

These fraudulent messages are typically characterized by the following:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

-They are sent from unknown or suspicious phone numbers.<\/span>
\n-Impersonation, where the sender pretends to represent a trusted institution or a government official.<\/span>
\n-Enticement or intimidation, such as offering incentives or issuing security warnings to pressure the recipient.<\/span>
\n-Malicious links or attachments designed to steal personal or confidential information.<\/span>
\n-Unexpected requests for organizational information, personal data, or financial details without a clear or legitimate reason.<\/span>
\n-Urgent pressure urging recipients to take immediate action without careful consideration.<\/span><\/p>\n

In light of the above, kindly observe the following precautions:<\/span><\/strong>
\n-Avoid interacting with such messages or opening any attached links, as they are intended to defraud recipients and steal personal or financial data by urging a rapid response or encouraging users to click on malicious links.<\/span>
\n-Verify the identity of the sender before responding to any request.<\/span>
\n-Refrain from sharing work-related information through social media applications.<\/span>
