Workshop About Egyptian Knowledge Bank At Aswan University
Today, Sunday, corresponding to 13/10/2024, a workshop will train on the available information sources at Egyptian Knowledge Bank in seminar hall No.1 on the ground floor of the Faculty of Agriculture and Natural Resources building. Under the patronage of Prof. Louay Saadeddin Nasrat, Acting Aswan University President and the Supervisor of the Faculty, and Prof. Mohamed Abdel Aziz Mahalal Arabi, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies.
The training consisted of four sessions. The first lesson covered how to create an account on the Egyptian Knowledge Bank. Dr. Walid Ali, representing the Egyptian Knowledge Bank, discussed the process of registering a Knowledge Bank account and defined the distinction between a university student account and an academic staff account.
During the second session, Dr. Mahmoud Shawky from the Supreme Council of Universities demonstrated how to use the Egyptian Libraries Union website.
In the third session, Dr. Mohamed Khamis from Dar Al-Manzomah demonstrated how to accurately search for titles and variables on the Dar Al-Manzomah platform utilizing the Egyptian Knowledge Bank website.
In the fourth and last session of the training, Dr. Ismail Mohamed, representing ”Incision Academy”, explained how to use the platform and the medical resources it provides.
Prof. Louay Saad El-Din Nasrat, Acting President of the University, emphasized in his speech the importance of the Knowledge Bank as a research resource, as well as how to use its services and various research approaches. He concluded his talk by emphasizing the university’s responsibility to aid its researchers by providing appropriate training sessions so that they can achieve outstanding research results.
Many academic staff and assistants from the colleges attended the workshop, as did undergraduates and postgraduate researchers. Faculty from the Faculty of Social Work attended the session, which included:
