Scientific research is the locomotive of development and is the way to development in all aspects, and the level of progress in scientific research is considered one of the most important criteria – if not the most important at all – for judging the level of advancement and development of nations.
Aswan University, under the wise leadership of Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman, President of the University, seeks to put the university on the international map through its relentless pursuit to provide an appropriate research environment through which strong and innovative research can be carried out that qualifies for professional and educational progress.
Therefore, the Graduate Studies and Research Sector at the Faculty of Social Work – Aswan University, under the wise and conscious leadership of Prof. Mohamed Jaber Abbas – Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research aims to achieve quality and excellence in relation to the research process in order to occupy a prominent position in the ranks of distinguished universities in the field of Postgraduate studies through:-
-Developing awareness of international scientific publishing, its methods, and mechanisms.
-Motivating researchers to represent the college in scientific and international forums with research in various disciplines.
-Keeping abreast of contemporary challenges and scientifically solving problems in the surrounding community.
-Developing postgraduate programs to meet the needs of society and serve the labor market, and working to establish postgraduate programs and scientific research in line with international standards that guarantee the graduation of distinguished scientific cadres.
-Developing the pioneering research capabilities of faculty members and graduate students in accordance with the approved standards, and supporting the scientific research process inside and outside the college.
-Providing all kinds of support to teaching assistants and assistant teachers, and overcoming all difficulties towards completing their academic careers.
-Encouraging research teams and teamwork between different disciplines inside and outside the college, in order to achieve integration.
