A Seminar Entitled (Social Integration of Sudanese Refugees in Egypt (Challenges and Opportunities)
Under the patronage of Prof. Loay Saad El-Din Nusrat, University President, and Prof. Mohamed Gaber Abbas Mohamed, Dean of the Faculty, the Community Organization Department organized a seminar on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, to raise awareness among Sudanese women about social integration. This seminar was held in cooperation with the Arab-African Foundation in Aswan, following a well-structured program and precise procedures to educate Sudanese women on the importance of preserving their homeland, strengthening patriotism and belonging, and promoting coexistence among all segments of society.
The seminar was presented by Prof. Hala Abdel-Azim Madani, Assistant Professor in the Community Organization Department.
First-year doctoral students from the Community Organization Department participated in organizing the seminar.
The seminar program included a speech by Ms. Sayeda Shehata Atito, Executive Director of the Arab-African Foundation in Aswan, and a speech by Ms. Asmaa Ismail, Training Supervisor at the Foundation. Dr. Hala Abdel-Azim Madani then moderated the seminar with a presentation on its topic.
The seminar was characterized by its interactive and clear approach, combining direct explanations with open discussion. This fostered engagement among the Sudanese women and enhanced their understanding of the presented material. Participation methods varied, including brainstorming to assess the Sudanese women’s understanding of social integration. This approach aimed to gather their ideas, instill patriotism, and reinforce positive thinking through interactive dialogue.
