Faculty Council Meeting
Under the auspices of Prof. Mohamed Gaber Abbas Mohamed, Dean of the Faculty; the Faculty Council held its May meeting on Wednesday, May 20, 2026.The meeting was chaired by Prof. Mohamed Gaber Abbas Mohamed, Dean of the Faculty, and attended by the following members:

Prof. Dr. Abdel Moneim Sultan Ahmed El-Gilani, Professor of Social Work Practice
Prof. Dr. Hamada Ragab Muslim, Head of the Department of Social Planning
Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Razek Amin, Head of the Department of Community Organization
Prof. Dr. Samir Mohamed Abdel Rahman, Head of the Department of Individual Casework

During the meeting, several administrative and academic matters were discussed, including monitoring the progress of second-semester examinations, reviewing departmental academic affairs, forming supervisory committees for a number of Master’s and PhD candidates, and scheduling thesis defense sessions. The Council also approved awards for selected researchers across academic departments and reviewed the implementation of quality assurance standards within the Faculty.
