Faculty Council Holds Its September 2026 Meeting
The Faculty Council held its September 2026 meeting on Monday, September 14, 2026. The meeting was chaired by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Gaber Abbas Mohamed, Dean of the Faculty, and attended by:
1. Prof. Dr. Abdellah Saber Abdel Hamid – Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research Affairs.
2. Prof. Dr. Nabil Mohamed Mahmoud Abul-Hassan – Head of the Fields of Social Work Department.
3. Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel-Razek Amin – Head of the Community Organization Department.
4. Prof. Dr. Samir Mohamed Abdel-Rahman – Head of the Casework Department.
5. Assoc. Prof. Ihab Mohamed Ahmed – Associate Professor, Fields of Social Work Department.
6. Dr. Ahmed Youssef Sayed – Lecturer, Community Organization Department.
The meeting addressed a range of administrative and academic matters concerning the Faculty’s academic departments. Discussions included the formation of supervision committees for a number of Master’s and PhD researchers, the formation of thesis defense and examination committees for other researchers, and various matters related to postgraduate researchers across the academic departments.
The Council also discussed preparations for the new academic year, with emphasis on taking all necessary measures to ensure a smooth start and welcome new students. Prof. Dr. Mohamed Gaber Abbas Mohamed affirmed the Faculty’s readiness for the new academic year, highlighting the announcement of class schedules, the preparation and readiness of classrooms, and the updating of curricula in line with contemporary developments and the requirements of the labor market, thereby better equipping students with the knowledge and skills needed for their future careers.
