Holding the First Annual Scientific Conference for the Social Work Fields Department
On Monday 16/5/2022 the First Annual Scientific Conference for the Social Work Fields Department is held entitled ( Cases of the Scientific Research in the light of the Contemporary Changes from the Perspective of the Social Work Fields) and inaugurated the conference by Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Osman-President of Aswan University and Supervisor of the Faculty of Social Work at In the hall of Field Marshal Muhammad Hussein Tantawi, at the University’s Medical Administration building in Sahara.
The organizational structure of the conference was represented by Prof. Ali Abbas Dandrawi-Professor of Social Work Fields and Former Vice President of Aswan University – Chairman, Prof. Nabila Mohamed Lotfi -Assistant Professor of Social Work Fields and Head of Department and Coordinator, and Prof. Ehab Mohamed Ahmed Abdel Naim-Professor of Social Work Fields Assistant – official spokesperson.
The activities of the conference began with the recitation of verses from the Noble Qur’an, then Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Othman – President of Aswan University delivered his speech, and he welcomed the attendees and guests of the conference in general, and the academic staff of the Faculty of Social Work in particular – because the conference is linked to the Faculty of Social Work, H.E. stressed the importance of scientific research and holding scientific conferences that the university attaches great importance, which resulted in the university achieving first positions in scientific classifications and obtained many research centers; scientific research is one of the most important factors in maintaining Aswan University’s record numbers that it recently achieved.
The President of Aswan University referred to the importance of entrepreneurship, the role of the college and its scientific specializations, and the role of the Vice Deanship for Graduate Studies and Research in linking issues related to scientific research to entrepreneurship among researchers and students.
Prof. Ali Abbas Dandrawi – President of the Conference – in his speech explained the importance of the conference in helping researchers and developing and upgrading their scientific and intellectual levels, to achieve the requirements of social service and develop its role in the development of society. His Excellency also stressed the importance of providing researchers with statistical skills, knowledge, and culture in various scientific disciplines, and the disappearance of common errors in scientific research, through the fields of social work.
Prof. Nabila Muhammad Lutfi, the conference coordinator, spoke about the importance of the first annual scientific conference of the Department of Social Work Fields, and the role of social service fields in community development and scientific research. And statistical methods in scientific research, presentation of research by researchers of the Department of Social Work, the quality of scientific research and its link to Egypt’s 2030 vision, the role of digital transformation in scientific research, the methodological steps of scientific research, then the conclusion and recommendations of the conference.
The Faculty of Social Work, represented by the Department of Social Work Fields, presented the faculty’s shield to Prof. Ayman Mahmoud Osman, President of the University, in appreciation of his continuous support to the faculty and the upgrading of the educational and research system.
The conference program was as follows in sequential order:
1 – Presentation of tools and technologies in the scientific research journey – presented by Prof. Dr. Yasser Dahab – Professor at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport
2- Scientific Research Tools – Presented by Prof. Dr. Hassan Allam – Former Dean of the College of Education
3- Determinants of choosing statistical methods and some common errors – presented by Prof. Dr. Salah El-Din Al-Saei – Dean of the College of Fisheries Technology
4- Presentation of research entitled “The Role of Electronic Services Units in Preventing University Students from Digital Drugs” – presented by Dr. Hala Mahmoud Hussein – Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Social Work Fields, Faculty of Social Work.
5- The quality of scientific research according to Egypt’s 2030 vision – presented by Prof. Eman Wagdy – Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education.
6- The role of digital transformation in the quality of scientific research – presented by Eng. Hussein Farghal – Freelance Space Officer at the Information Technology Institute, on behalf of Eng. Ahmed Salem – Director of Digital Egypt Creativity Center, who apologized for attending in person.
7- Methodological steps for scientific research and contemporary issues from the perspective of the social work profession – presented by Prof. Dr. Kawthar Ahmed Qinawy – full-time professor of social planning and former Vice Dean of the Faculty of Social Work for Graduate Studies and Research.
8- Presentation of research entitled “Developing the professional performance of Egyptian railway workers” – presented by the researcher, Prof. Mahmoud Zaki Mohamed – researcher in the Department of Social Work Fields, Faculty of Social Work.
9- Lyrical Paragraph – presented by the student Karim Salah
Then Dr. Muhammad Muhammad Mustafa Al-Taweel – the Lecturer in the Department of Social Work and the Secretary of the Department – presented the recommendations of the conference, and then the conference was concluded by honoring the attendees and guests.
