The department aimed to prepare graduates with a high level of skills and the ability to follow scientific and technological developments in their field of specialization through the continuous development of the educational process, as well as to contribute to the community’s problem-solving through scientific research conducted by researchers in their specialization department.

The department’s mission is to contribute to the preparation of distinguished social workers who are capable of competing at the local and Arab levels in working with individuals and families, equipped with knowledge and skills that meet local and Arab quality standards. It also seeks to enhance graduates’ competencies through continuing education, training, and postgraduate programs, and to advance professional practice and community service by providing technical, professional, and scientific consultation.

1-Preparing distinguished academic staff members capable of assuming responsibility for advancing the department’s mission and contributing to elevating graduates’ standards to internationally recognized levels.

2-Contributing to the development of professional practice by serving individuals in selected fields and providing students with high-quality training opportunities in these areas.

3-Enhancing the scientific content of the department’s courses to reflect the latest developments in the field, while maintaining alignment with the values and cultural identity of Egyptian society.

4-Providing department members with opportunities to acquire field practice skills through working with individual cases in social care units and specialized institutions.
Developing teaching methods through:

-Designing modern educational applications that address community issues.
-Developing electronic (e-learning) courses.
-Expanding the use of self-directed learning approaches.
-Promoting the effective use of educational technology in line with the capabilities of the faculty and the university.
-Supporting the development of continuing education programs through specialized training courses.
Contributing to the advancement of community-based training in fields closely related to casework.
