A Seminar Entitled (Social Work and Promoting Social Solidarity Values Among School Students During the Month of Ramdan)

Under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Gaber Abbas Mohamed, Dean of the Faculty A workshop was held on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, as part of the collaboration between the Community Organization Department and the third-year field training students at Dar Al-Muallimin Annex School.

Under the supervision of Assistant Lecturer Mariam Abdel Rahman Sadek from the Community Organization Department, a seminar entitled “Social Work and Promoting the Values of Social Solidarity among School Students during the Month of Ramadan” was organized.

The seminar was delivered by Dr. Ayman Adly Qadri, Lecturer of Community Organization; Sheikh Mahmoud Mustafa Hassan, Director of Administrative Affairs at the Aswan Directorate of Endowments; and Sheikh Hassan Eid Othman, also from the Aswan Directorate of Endowments.
The seminar aimed to clarify the concept of social solidarity in Islam and highlight its various forms, particularly during the holy month of Ramadan. It also addressed how Islam encourages the reinforcement of these values, fostering love and compassion among people, contributing to community development, and strengthening national unity.

Dr. Ayman Adly Qadri also discussed the role of social work in promoting the values of solidarity, emphasizing the diverse efforts of social workers in instilling these values among students. In addition, he presented examples of the initiatives carried out by community organizations during Ramadan to promote solidarity, strengthen the spirit of brotherhood, and reinforce the values of love and mutual support within society.

The seminar was attended by members of the school administration, including:

Ms. Fatima Mohamed Hassan – Social Worker
Ms. Maria Hanin Nashed – Social Worker.

The seminar witnessed active engagement from the students, who participated through questions and discussions with the guests. At the end of the event, the lecturers were honored by the training team and the school administration in appreciation of their valuable contributions.
