Aswan University Launches the First Courses on Developing The Field Training Skills in The Faculty of Social Work

Dr. Louai Saadeddin Nasrat, Acting President of Aswan University, inaugurated the first training session on Field Training Skills at the Field Training Department, Faculty of Social Work. The session, held on Sunday and Monday, September 28–29, 2025, in the Human Development Hall, comes as part of the faculty’s field training plan for the 2024/2025 academic year.

The opening was attended by a distinguished group of the faculty’s leaders, including:

Dr. Mohamed Sayed Dandrawi, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs,

Dr. Abdel Moneim El-Gilani, Dean of the Institute of African and Nile Basin Research and Studies,

Dr. Rasha Abdel Tawab, Head of the Field Training Office and Director of the Center,

Dr. Abdullah Saber, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs,
alongside heads of academic departments, faculty members, and teaching assistants.

The session addressed several key themes, most notably the organizational regulations governing the work of the Field Training Office, effective methods of interaction between students and faculty members, and mechanisms for supervising the horizontal development of field training in light of emerging AI technologies.

Dr. Louai Saadeddin Nasrat emphasized that the session aims to embed the principle of a renewable career culture within the field of social work and to prepare students to meet the evolving needs of the labor market, in line with the technological and cognitive transformations of the AI era. He further stressed that Aswan University is consistently striving to strengthen the link between academic learning, labor market demands, and community service.

Dr. Nasrat also highlighted the university’s ongoing support for all initiatives that enhance students’ competencies and develop the skills of faculty members, noting that field training represents one of the most vital pillars in shaping the character of the professional university student.
