“My Journey” Training Program for Developing Life Skills and Entrepreneurship has Concluded

Within the framework of the presidential initiative “A New Beginning for Human Development,” and under the patronage of Prof. Mohamed Gaber Abbas, Dean of the Faculty of Social Work – Aswan University, and in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports through the Central Administration for Youth Development (General Administration for Entrepreneurship and Startups), as well as in partnership with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the The “My Journey” training program for developing life skills and entrepreneurship has concluded..

The closing ceremony of the “Skills Development and Entrepreneurship” training was held with distinguished attendance, including:
-Prof. Mohamed Gaber Abbas, Dean of the Faculty of Social Work
-Dr. Ziad Ahmed Youssef, Director General of the Youth and Sports Directorate in Aswan
-Dr. Hanaa Abdel Mawgoud, Assistant of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports
-Ms. Aya Lotfy Abdel Razek, Assistant Lecturer, Department of Community Organization
-Mr. Mohamed Haroun, Coordinator of “My Journey” program in Aswan Governorate
-Ms. Seham, Youth Specialist at the Directorate and International Trainer in the program

The event was effectively organized by the “Step for Change” trainee group of the Step for Development Foundation, under the supervision of Eng. Aya Lotfy. The ceremony marked the conclusion of a comprehensive training program that combined life skills development, entrepreneurship, and innovation training, focusing on transforming ideas into viable projects. The program aimed to empower young people and equip them with the competencies required for the modern labor market.

The Undersecretary of the Ministry emphasized that “My Journey” program, in its various components, seeks to holistically build the capacities and character of young people. He also praised the fruitful cooperation between Aswan University and UNICEF in implementing these training courses, which provide accredited certificates issued by the Ministry and UNICEF. The program received strong support from Prof. Dr. Mohamed Gaber Abbas, Dean of the Faculty of Social Work, in recognition of the active participation of his students.

The closing ceremony concluded with a celebratory atmosphere and strong engagement from participants. Trainees were honored and awarded certificates of completion, highlighting the joint role of the university and the Ministry in supporting youth development and preparing students for a more promising future.
