Meeting of the Casework Department Council
Under the patronage of His Excellency Prof. Mohamed Gaber Abbas Mohamed, Dean of the Faculty.
And chaired by Prof. Samir Mohamed Abdelrahman Hassan, Head of the Department of Social Work.
The Department of Social Work Council convened today, Tuesday, April 7, 2026, with the following members in attendance:
1- Prof. Samir Mohamed Abdelrahman Hassan, Head of the Department Council.
2- Prof. Abdallah Saber Abdelhamid (Member)
3- Assist. Prof. Mohamed Hassan Mohamed Obeid (Member)
4- Assist. Prof. Ahmed Mahmoud Hassan (Member + Secretary of the Council)
5- Dr. Asmaa Ahmed Abdelwahab Mahmoud (Member)
6- Dr. Mohamed Mahmoud Aboulela (Member)
During the meeting, several administrative, research, and educational matters related to the department were discussed. All faculty members and teaching assistants were reminded to participate in the department’s activities during the University’s Environmental Week, under the theme: “The Role of Social Work in Promoting Positive Environmental Behaviors.”
The following casework were then added to the Department Council meeting:
1- Dr. Laila Mohamed Hussein Saleh (Lecturer in the Department)
2- Dr. Souad Sultan Abdelmawgoud Abdelmagid (Lecturer in the Department)
This was to discuss and exchange views related to updating the faculty’s regulations to align with labor market demands, and to present the courses offered by the Casework Department at both the undergraduate and graduate levels to ensure they meet the requirements of the new faculty regulations.
