The Social Work Fields Council Honors the Dean of the Faculty and Department’s Head
Under the auspices of Prof. Loai Saad El-Din Nasrat, President of Aswan University, and Prof. Mohamed Gaber Abbas, Dean of the Faculty of Social Work, the Department Council of Social Work Fields convened its meeting in the presence of:
In attendance of Prof. Abdel Moneim El-Gilani, Head of the Department Council, and the following members:
Prof. Nabil Abu El-Hassan, Dr. Nabila Lotfy, Dr. Hamada El-Sayed, Dr. Amina El-Gali, Dr. Mohamed El-Tawil, Dr. Nora Mohamed, and Dr. Ayman Gamal and Dr. Fatima Othman..
During the meeting, the council discussed several important topics, including the commitment of faculty members to their lecture schedules, activating social plan activities, organizing the postgraduate studies timetables, forming supervision committees for postgraduate students, cancelling enrollment for students who failed to pay tuition fees for two consecutive years or based on supervisors’ reports, and approving extensions of registration for some students.
An honoring ceremony was also held to recognize several distinguished figures, including:
Prof. Mohamed Gaber Abbas, Dean of the Faculty, on the occasion of his appointment by presidential decree.
Prof. Abdel Moneim El-Gilani, Head of the Department Council, on the occasion of his appointment as Dean of the Institute of African and Nile Basin Research and Studies at Aswan University.
Prof. Ali Abbas, former Vice President of the University.
Prof. Nabil Abu El-Hassan, on the occasion of his return to duty at the faculty.
The celebration took place in an atmosphere of warmth and cordiality, attended by the Vice-Deans, Heads of Departments, former Dean of the Faculty Prof. Mohamed Nagdy, and a group of faculty members.
At the conclusion of the meeting, research ideas and proposed plans of some postgraduate students were discussed.
