About Social Planning – Faculty of Social Work

Mission

1- Preparing a social worker at a high level of quality who possesses foundations of knowledge, knowledge, theoretical and applied planning information, and professional planning skills that make him able to successfully deal with issues and variables related to social development and social planning for various institutions.

2- Raising and building the capacities of students, graduates, and practitioners of administrative and planning work through training courses and implementation of various programs and projects, as well as postgraduate programs for diploma, master, and doctoral studies.

3- Contribute to enriching the social and human sciences by conducting field research related to the development of the local community, planning the implementation of programs and projects, following up on various plans, contributing to solving problems and planning for their follow-up, providing technical advice and professional support to local community institutions, and evaluating various programs and projects in it.

4- Providing students with the knowledge, information, and various planning skills necessary to effectively exercise their roles as social planners after graduation, after developing their abilities through various postgraduate programs.

Vision

Preparing distinguished social workers with knowledge, performance, knowledge, and skill who can compete in the labor market by providing him with new effective planning skills.

Goals

1- The practical application of the acquired theoretical knowledge and planning information.

2- Linking between the theoretical and the practical side to increase the student’s understanding of the planning models in the different institutions and they are more prepared to acquire the professional planning skills necessary to exercise their role successfully and effectively after graduation.

3- Providing the student with planning knowledge and information related to the different roles of the social planner through research and various theoretical assignments.

4- The student’s understanding of the various social planning processes and the stages of planning through participation in the implementation of various activities, programs, and training projects.

5- Conscious awareness on the part of the student of the social systems associated with programs and projects.

6- Develop students’ statistical knowledge and information until they have the ability to analyze social data and various social research.

7- Developing the skill of applying various statistical processes in social work.

8- Studying the basic elements for the formation of social institutions and the stages of implementing programs in them.

9- Providing the student with knowledge and information about the concept of management in social work and its importance in social work.

10- Contributing to the student’s awareness of the relationship between management, comprehensive development, and social service.

11- Providing the student with the skill to perform the tasks of leadership and successful management within social institutions.

12- Providing the student with knowledge about the types and levels of social planning and the relationship between planning and social service in professional practice.
